In Episode 33, Marty Gold adds shocking new details to the story he broke in February about an incident at a basketball game on the Jewish campus in Winnipeg. The outrageous antisemitic conduct explains why there’s been a cover-up by high-level “educators” desperate to protect the University of Winnipeg Collegiate and sports administrators.

Be warned, the language allegedly used by a UW Collegiate junior varsity player about Jews was vulgar.

But it’s what his teammates chanted afterwards, that the Education Department, sports officials, the Collegiate and the Gray Academy of Jewish Learning are all trying to keep secret.

Thanks to our investigative reporting, you’ll hear what went on and why this scandal can become an election issue.

School officials lie that they’re forbidden from discussing specifics because the hate was voiced by minors in Grade 9 and 10. Do antisemites have a right to such privacy? No, but still, neither school reported the incident to provincial sports officials as required.

How bad is the apathy towards antisemitism at the UW campus? After  a bizarre Winnipeg Free Press story did not include the word ‘antisemitism’ and reduced the controversy to a “behavioral issue”, Belle Jarniewski, Executive Director at the Jewish Heritage Centre posted: “No classes from the UW Collegiate have registered for the Holocaust and Human Rights Symposium this year after having been a part of it for 20 years. There is no cost and the program will be virtual.”

Marty explains that’s only one good reason not to let the schools ‘work it out’ themselves.

Another is that Canada’s Antisemitism Envoy, Irwin Cotler, said it is simply unacceptable.

“Were these (UW) students themselves, disciplined? People should know and should be able to act upon it because they know about it.”

“It’s a threat not only to Jews, it’s a threat to Winnipeg, it’s a threat to Canada, and we have to always combat it when we see it, not be silent in the face of it, and act collectively to combat it.”

Marty reminds that Sports Minister Obby Khan said he is already involved: “I had it immediately forwarded to the department of education and justice. They are looking into it to see what will be done next.’”

Since Education officials and DoJ did nothing, Khan can now hand the new evidence to his own Department to act on and finally deal with antisemitism at the Collegiate.

22:12 Part 2 – TGCTS reveals the offensive antisemitism of Wesmen players, what they said at the Jewish campus, and how some almost got away with it.

‘Educators’ like the B’nai Brith local director claim “it was dealt with” by the Collegiate and the Jew-haters were “probably reprimanded.” Yet an Education Department official deflected any attempt to verify that assertion:

The department is committed … to disrupting all forms of antisemitism in our school divisions and schools. If you have further questions or concerns within your community, I would recommend that you discuss the matter with a superintendent in your local school division.

Disrupted how? Who’s the superintendent? She still won’t answer – exposing her role in the cover-up.

Marty outlines the real steps ‘disrupting antisemitism’ in high school sports would have taken, and has the unanswered questions about UW Collegiate and their players that Khan needs to ask.

The BB director had no concept that the Sports Minister could help protect Jewish athletes from these UW Collegiate antisemites.

“Educators” want this scandal to go away – no questions, no answers.

But the ball is now in Obby Khan’s court. And Jewish kids are counting on him.
