Following up on his recent Trib column “Have Working Class Voters Turned Against Unions?”, Marty Gold looks more closely at the school system and $10 a day child care.
With demand for spaces peaking, and no solution in sight especially for kids between the ages of 7 and 12, Marty looks at the subsidy numbers and does some fast math.
Is there an opportunity for a political party to propose giving the subsidy money not to the daycares to warehouse kids, but to the families so they can afford to stay home and raise their children without union help?
